My new computer set up is done. Thank god. Took me forever to transfer everything. The new graphics card is AMAZing. I played WOW the other day and couldn’t believe the difference. I’m finally back to playing on a PC which not only is better than playing on a laptop but doesn’t give me a headache. Plus playing anything on a macbook sucks. I’m happy to have my PC back. Maybe I can finally get a new layout up on here soon. I get frustrated with Apple.

I’ve been sick and I think, at least for the moment, I’m better. I woke up today with some of my throat problems that I had earlier in the week so I’m crossing my fingers that it goes away. School starts Monday so I really need to be ‘coherent’. I can’t believe its almost been two months since dad. Doesn’t seem like it. I picked up his ashes from Martha and Steve’s house the other day. It’s a really weird thing holding part of your parent in a tiny ceramic heart. He’s sitting on my book shelf.

Speaking of creepy ashes. I was skimming through my HD channels the other day and I came upon one of those ink shows. One of the artists had just lost his wife and they had her ashes in a box. They then decided in order for said artist to get over said dead woman, to….wait for it…put the ashes in part of the ink and then…wait for it…tattoo the wives face onto his arm. “Then she’ll always be with him”

::tries not to vomit:: There are so many things wrong with that. Having Dad on my bookshelf is one thing, even having a tattoo of him on my body, but actually going as far as to ‘mix’ him up in ink…well I’m sorry, that’s why Asylums were invented.

Writing Playlists

Since its summer and I'm not really working...I've been writing like crazy. So! I need good playlists. I use a lot of orchestra music and Pink for the angsty/sex scenes so if you have some good songs that fit into any type of category i'm interested in broadening my playlists :)

I'm writing that fan fiction for hermionebigbang and I think its coming around nicely. However, I'm glad I have another month.

I ordered some books and an ipod on amazon the other day. Most of the books are school books and I'm pretty pissed because I looked today and a few of them won't be here until next week or until the 11th. School starts on the 1st!

If I don't get them by that week i'm going to be in trouble. Damn you Amazon!

Whats ironic is that the books/ipod that I don't really need by the 1st are going to get here by tomorrow.

Thats a hard question. But if I only had to pick one it would be Star Wars hands down. However BSG and Serenity would finish my top 3.

In other news I’m currently participating in a few online writing communities. I think i'm going to participate in hermionebigbang

I’m also attending a couple writers groups throughout the week. So far it’s been helping me get through the day and helping me focus on other things as a writer. I’m also going to counseling once a week and its been hard but I think its helping.

Summer school starts in a couple weeks and I’m getting anxious. I really want to go back and get this degree finished with. I’m taking a full load (twss) this semester so I can catch up. I’m also thinking about getting another part time job. Nothing crazy, just something easy and fun. I might see if borders or barnes & noble is hiring.

I’m still looking for a roommate so that charade is still on going. I hate having to find someone. It’s a hassle and if I could I’d probably live alone but I can’t afford it. It would be really nice to have that extra room as an office or spare bedroom. Anyone want to give me an extra 500 dollars a month because you love me?

I was looking to see who was born on the month and year of my birth today for a facebook thingy and I found out something interesting. When I scrolled farther down I found the date, month and year of someone who died of my birthday. She was the first woman who spontaneous human combusted. Very weird and interesting. I was born at 7 am but she didn’t die til 4 in the afternoon.

There are pictures of her on the internet with her incinerated but i’ll spare you the gross details of that.

I'm annoyed with my roommate. She owes me 500 dollars in back bills for utilities, doesn't clean and has the most annoying daughter on the planet (she stays with us on the weekends). I often tell her daughter "don't touch that", "stop screaming", and "don't spit on wesley" (yes she spit on the dog). I came home today and I was trying to talk to my roommate and she was barking so we couldn't talk and I told her daughter to stop and my roommate says "don't tell my daughter what to do" then proceeds to tell her the same thing I had just said.

This is also the same mother who tells her daughter to shut the fuck up and to put fucking things down.

Needless to say I need a new roommate.

My life has been thrown in a dryer, bitch-slapped, left at the altar, and pissed on. I guess that’s the only way to describe how shitty this year has been and its barely started. What’s worse is that even though I may be going through a rough patch, I’m sure there are people out there whose lives are about ten times worse. I should probably be thankful that I still have two parents that love me and a bed to sleep in. But then when times are hard we hardly ever look at the good parts in it. We automatically look at the negative.

I went to see a counselor today at ASU. Not initially but they thought that with everything going on in my life the advising department figured it might be a good idea…at least to look into it. The person I talked to advised me on simply withdrawing for medical reasons instead of the sympathy withdraw. According to the counselor, I have a lot of issues and I bottle things up until I can’t anymore and then it becomes a major problem. I’ve known this for awhile but I guess I was too stubborn to actually want to think or talk about them.

Even after the first consultation however I think it’s going to be beneficial. This summer is going to suck making up my classes, but I think, as does the counselor, that it will be better for me in the long run.

But hey, depression. It’s what all the cool kids are doing these days!

As some of you may or may not know my dad was killed in a motorcycle accident on thursday afternoon. If you knew him we are having the funeral next friday at 10 a.m. at Mariposa Gardens, 400 S. Power Rd in mesa. The reception is a biker wake so just jeans and t-shirts. The wake will be at the Boys and Girls Club Grant Woods Branch, 221 W. 6th Ave. in Mesa. following the funeral.

Here's the Thing

It annoys me whenever my roommate says "here's the thing" to explain something. This also goes into a lot of other things that she does that annoys me but thats a much longer blog which I can only write on here because she reads my actual blog (almostjennifer.com). I'm weird I know. Hopefully I'll have the patience to write down all the stuff that has been going on at home.

I don't write much on here, mostly I just read everyone's blogs. Plus. Most of what you all have to say is more important than what I have to say.

My dog is snoring right now. I'm not sure why he is so tired-he normally doesn't snore so loud. He slept all night and morning at least until ten. Then he woke up, went outside, took a long afternoon nap. Woke up. Peed and then fell asleep around 5 until 7 when I went to get stuff for dinner (which thinking about it he probably slept through that too). Now its midnight and he's snoring like he's been running around chasing, dogs, rabbits, whatever. When in fact, he's laid on the carpet all day long.

I didn't have a date or plans friday night so I decided to buy the first season of felicity, make a BLT and have a nice night at home. It was nice. My roommate wasn't home and Lily (her daughter who stays with us on the weekends) is spending the weekend with her grandma. It's nice having the house quiet. I miss that part of my weekends.

i hate life this week

So I found out yesterday that my suspicions about my ex best friend dating my ex boyfriend of 9 years is true. she posted pictures of her and him in his new apartment. looks like they might be living together and that the reason she probably stopped talking to me in august was because she wanted to date him. yes. this week is the worst week ever. 2nd to the week we broke up.
